National Trust - Penrhyn Castle & Garden

Upstairs closed so very disappointed. Anyone paying on day would have lost out. Miserable young female cafe staff served coffee with a miserable attitude spilt it all. Third time visit same attitude. Other staff friendly. Volunteers excellent.

Unfortunately, we were unable to enter into the castle as we reached there 2 minutes late. Asked the receptionist, and she said the last entry was already in, and we can come back the next day. We were on our holiday and were planning to go back tomorrow. So we were unlucky. However, while we were still in the car parking area, we saw one lady with a kid, could go in. I'm not sure whether she was a staff member...

Very interesting grounds and outside to the massive building, unfortunately for us there was work being carried out while we visited so we were unable to go inside.

We were only able to explore the grounds, as th castle was closed(should have checked the National Trust app on the day, not just the week before..😅) but it was nevertheless beautiful!

Beautiful castle and garden with fabulous interiors. Walked through the main entrance to the house and the place was pretty full with people. As I walked into the main room, one of the people who worked there came running up behind me and asked to see my ticket. I showed it to her and she said I'd gone the wrong way and took me back to the entrance. There's only one way in front there which was the way I came. No one else's ticket was checked. Found her rather patronizing when I asked which way I was supposed to go from the entrance.

Lots of parking. Lovely staff. Castle is great to walk round. If you can't go upstairs they have a video tour to watch. Cafe nice, but expensive. Fabulous views
